BRUSHING, polishing, cleaning, and surface preparation are common operations in metalworking industries to meet industrial and household needs, but having effective and desired solutions in this regard is something that eludes many companies.
In India, there are several manufacturers of brushing and polishing machines, but lack of abrasive expertise fails to ensure desired results for the end-user, resulting in machine operators having to face challenges.
The deburring operation is always a headache and in a majority of instances, both the product and people suffer due to incomplete solutions, affecting or bringing to a standstill the next operation caused due to burr or improper surface.
This is where Valgro India sets itself apart. The company makes semi and fully automatic machines for deburring and edge rounding, for a faster production process. It is one of the core companies that manufacture abrasive brush and abrasive brushing machines, in order to provide complete solutions to customers. With a high-tech manufacturing facility, the company has been consistently setting standards in technology, innovation, and product quality.
Dr. Arvind Patel, founder, and CEO of Valgro India Limited highlighted the company’s expertise in ensuring total solutions under one roof by designing machines that suit individual customer applications and requirements.
Driven by innovation and keenness to keep up with technology advancements, the company has made rapid strides with its surface finishing expertise and machine-building knowledge, ensuring results for customers at a faster pace.
Having a team of highly qualified experts in metal finishing, Valgro-India claims to provide total solutions for the toughest industrial requirements under one roof, be it men, machine, or material. From offering consultation to planning and installation solutions, Valgro machines are 100% indigenous products, user friendly, and designed in such a way that they can be run even by an unskilled person. Backed by strong research and development for customized solutions, most of the machines are designed for plug and play use, helping eliminate manual operation, rejection and rework, and other labor work.
Notable breakthroughs made by the company in technological innovation include an Acid-free pickling process for steel plants and deburring and edge rounding through atomization which can eliminate manual deburring operation in sheet metal processing industries.
“The company has made major breakthroughs in defense, space, and aviation sectors, offering solutions that have not been achieved by any company worldwide,” Patel said. “It made a vacuum chamber for inspection of the satellite before launch for ISRO and DRDO making the first largest plate polishing machine with a capacity of 3mtr wide x 12mtr length x 25mm thickness from special alloy steel.” He added, “for the company, to make machines and to ensure desired results, both are different things. Our expertise in surface condition abrasives is the key factor in brushing machine success.”
The company has also been making in-house Specialty abrasive brushes for the metal surface conditions since 1995. Through continuous innovation and commitment to product quality, and with many years of hard work and field trials, the company is poised to acquire a leadership position in the international market.
Commenting on the prevailing competition in the national and international market and how the company has geared up to face it, Dr. Arvind Patel said, “We don’t have the competition from the similar machine manufacturers, but our main challenges are current manual deburring and finishing process by offhand work. At present this operation is done by manual off-hand operation with portable power tools or manual filing where less investment is needed but extreme labor cost is involved. The challenge is to convince the end-user of atomization and a faster production process. Whenever there is a new technology, it always involves cost. Industries need to appreciate the benefits of automation investment vis-a-vis current manual process.”
However, according to Dr. Patel, times are changing, and industry players have started realizing the need for quality and timely output. “We work with our customers to develop innovative products to increase productivity with reduced rejection and rework. We provide a proactive flexible and high-performance approach to all task levels, from detailed design to final assembly of surfacing solution. No matter, what sort of finishing problem they have, we are always ready with the right solution, being just a phone call away.”
Through continuous research and development to meet the changing needs, the company has recently developed around seven new modes for metal industries and has a wide range of deburring, polishing machines to meet customized requirements. Some of its products are:
■ Valgro LBF Plasma Oxy burr removal machine for Plasma and laser cut parts deburring and edge rounding.
■ Wide Belt Sander for stainless steel sheet finishing and Polishing
■ FRP Grating edge deburring and surface grinding machine
■ Single End Edge deburring machine for aluminum profile cut edge
“We are in this field for the last 30 years and are committed to making our customers happy. This is why we make environment-friendly machines that help reduce unnecessary manpower as per customer’s specifications by analyzing customer’s needs, their current process, and the challenges faced by them. We not only make the design based on their requirements but also check the possibility of success,” Dr. Arvind Patel added
