Uniform Finish. Controlled Temperature. Cleaner Processing.
Hardened and tempered steel strip demands controlled finishing. Excessive heat, aggressive material removal or uneven brush pressure can affect surface consistency, flatness and final product quality.
Valgro’s wet brushing technology combines precision brush contact, coolant flow, stable strip guidance and adjustable process parameters. The coolant continuously cools and lubricates the contact area while flushing away metallic particles and brush residue.
Compared with uncontrolled manual polishing or conventional dry brushing, the wet process is particularly suitable for continuous production where manufacturers require:
- Better control of strip temperature
- Cleaner and more consistent surface finishing
- Reduced airborne dust
- Uniform results across the complete strip width
- Lower risk of heat marks and surface burning
- Stable performance during long production runs
- Improved abrasive brush life
- Integration with existing strip processing lines
The final machine configuration is selected after evaluating strip grade, hardness, incoming surface condition, strip speed and the required final surface finish.
