Surface defects formed during hot rolling, heat treatment, hardening or tempering can affect subsequent processes and final product quality. These defects may also transfer onto processing rolls and repeatedly mark the strip surface.
The Valgro Wet Grinding Machine removes these damaging defects before the strip enters further rolling, coating, cladding or finishing operations. The grinding system produces a structured and uniform surface while supporting improved strip flatness.
A controlled supply of grinding oil or water-based emulsion cools and lubricates the abrasive belts. It also carries grinding sludge away from the contact area, helping extend abrasive-belt life and maintain stable grinding performance.
The line can be integrated with coolant circulation, sludge filtration, mist extraction and automated process controls. Each system can be configured according to strip width, thickness, material grade, incoming surface condition and required final finish.
